Classes

This show will be organized in accordance with the regulations of the CFC (Canine Federation of Canada), along with the standards of the FCI ( Fédération Cynologique Internationale), The dogs will be judged in the following classes :

 

CLASSES AVAILABLE (FOR BOTH SEX)
The simultaneous engagement of a dog in several classes is prohibited.

  • Elementary Puppy Class : Shall be for dogs at least 3 months of age and under 6 months on the first day of the show. This class does not qualify for a Rating. The judge simply formulates an appreciation on the dog (by descending order: very promising, promising, rather promising, insufficient). It does not give place to a classification.
  • Puppy Class : Shall be for dogs at least 6 months of age and under 9 months on the first days of the show. This class does not qualify for a Rating. The judge simply formulates an appreciation on the dog (by descending order: very promising, promising, rather promising, insufficient). It does not give place to a classification.
  • The BEST of the BREED PUPPY:will be selected from the best of the Elementary Puppy class and the best of the Puppy class.
  • Junior Class : Shall be for dogs at least 9 months of age and under 18 months on the first days of the show. This class does qualifies a Rating of EXCELLENT but does not give a CACS. The Best Junior male & Best Junior female will compete for the Best Junior and will be given a Best Junior card. It does not give place to a champion (adult) title, but Junior can compete in the BOB class.
  • Working Class: All purebred dogs over the age of 15 months which are obliged to present a copy of their working certificate attached with the entry form. This class qualify for a Rating Excellent and a CACS in competition with the following classes Intermediate and Open except for the Elementary Puppy, and Puppy Class.
  • Intermediate Class: For dogs at least 15 months of age and under 24 months on the first days of the show. This class qualify for a Rating Excellent and a CACS  in competition with the following classes:  Working and Open except for the Elementary Puppy, and Puppy Class.
  • Open Class: For dogs over 15 months of age on the first day of the show. This class qualify for a Rating Excellent and a CACS in competition with the following classes: Working and Intermediate, except for the classes Elementary Puppy, and Puppy Class.
  • Breeder's Class: (This class is offered only for breed specialties) For groups of three or more dogs, of the same breed and variety, without distinction of sex, of the same breeder, although they do not belong to him/her at the time of the show and that are individually entered in any of the above stated classes.
  • Brace/Couple Class: (This class is offered only for breed specialties) For dogs and bitches of the same breed and variety and belonging to the same owner, shown by a single handler. In order to be eligible for entering in this class, both dogs must be individually entered in any of the previous classes.
  • CHAMPION CLASS: For all dogs, which have obtained the title of CFC Champion. Please include photocopy of the CH certificate along with your entry form. Without the proof of this Champion title the dog will be entered in the open class. Enrolment is permitted in one class only.
  • Veteran Class : For all dogs 8 calendar years of age. This class does not qualify to compete with other classes and doesn't quality for a CACS
  • Qualifies for a CACS: For each breed, one CACS will be given, by sex (male & female). A first place dog or bitch of the following classes : Working, Intermediate and Open will compete for the CACS.
  • Qualifies for a CACSC: For each breed, one CACSC will be given, by sex male & female for the Champion Class only.
  • A first place dog or bitch must receive a rating of EXCELLENT to be eligible to compete at the breed level.
  • BEST OF BREED: will be selected from the Best Junior, the best male and the best female of each of the following classes: Working, Intermediate, Open and Champion class. The Best of Breed Adult and Best of Breed Puppy will then proceed onto group and if 1st placement is received then will compete in the:
